Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date Rumors and Features
Galaxy S5 is the Galaxy S series handsets that are in the making. Samsung has not given out a word on the handset but rumors on the expected features are increasing day by day.
Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is set for the coming 2014. It is expected to feature the next generation 64 bit processor. Currently, the only smartphone that is running on 64 bit processor is the iPhone 5S.
New leaks indicate that the Galaxy S5 is going to feature a 16MP camera sensor powered up with ISOCELL technology. Even though it will take around 3-6 months for the Galaxy S5 to arrive, more and more rumors on its features are shaping up.
Let’s talk about the processor of the Galaxy S5. It is expected to feature an Exynos 6 family high performance processor with 64 bit support. By the way this news has been confirmed by Samsung. Samsung did not directly say that the Galaxy S5 will feature 64 bit processor but they have revealed that the devices that are going to arrive in 2014 are going to feature the said processor.
The 64 bit processor is definitely going to produce better performance. Users will be able to play high end games, watch high resolution videos and still have enough battery juice left for other usage. The new processor will be coupled with 3GB of RAM.
Galaxy S5 will feature a very powerful camera, but not as good as the Google Nexus 5. Though Nokia have started smartphones with 20MP and 41MP camera, Samsung may stick to 16MP camera on its Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S4 has got 13MP camera. Samsung Analyst Day and G4Games have revealed that Samsung will be offering 16MP camera equipped with ISOCELL technology on the devices that are to arrive in 2014. Since the first major handset in 2014 from Samsung is definitely going to be Galaxy S5, so most probably it will be the handset to feature 16MP cam with ISOCELL technology
What in the world is ISOCELL technology? The main thing that this technology will do for Galaxy S5 users is that it will not only snap stunning photos and videos but also it will make sure you get the best shooting results in dim lighting conditions. This is one camera feature that most companies are working on for the past few years. However, there is no news about Optical Image Stabilization to come on the Galaxy S5.
Galaxy S5 Android 4.4 Kitkat
Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to feature the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. The new Android upgrade has not arrived on any of the existing Samsung handsets which indicate that the first handset to offer the Android 4.4 KitKat will be Galaxy S5 which will arrive in the coming year. The Galaxy S5’s display will support 1080p resolution and higher ppi count. We are not sure whether it will feature curved display or not. Also, the Galaxy S5 is expected to come with a refreshing new design.
In the next year, many predecessor models are going to arrive such as the iPhone 6 and HTC One 2 to name a few. The competition is going to heat up as the Galaxy S5 is going to be unveiled as early as January 2014 or at least before the other major smartphones arrive. New rumors indicate that Samsung has got a more premium Galaxy F handset that is going to come out in the coming year. It will sport a metal design.
